Michael Teller Ornelas
My name is Michael Teller Ornelas, and I am a sixth-generation Navajo weaver. I was taught to weave at the age of 12 by my mother, Master Navajo Weaver Barbara Teller Ornelas. I grew up in Tucson, Arizona, and graduated from University of Arizona with a bachelor’s in computer science. I enjoy video games and programs as a hobby; both of which have influenced my art. I take inspiration from traditional Navajo designs as well as pop culture such as anime, comic books, and video games.
