SHIPPING POLICIES

Shipping Carriers

Eighth Generation ships USPS First Class and Priority (including International shipments), plus UPS Ground. No express shipping method is currently available. At the discretion of Eighth Generation LLC, orders may be shipped via carriers other than United States Postal Service (USPS), if Eighth Generation LLC deems it appropriate.

Please note that UPS does not ship to PO Boxes.

International Shipping

International purchasers are responsible for any customs, duties, taxes, service fees, and brokerage fees, in addition to shipping cost paid at the time of purchase to Eighth Generation LLC.

Processing Time

Although we ship orders as promptly as we can, order processing time is typically 2–3 business days. This means if you placed an order on a Monday and selected next-day shipping, your order may be shipped as late as Thursday with processing time. We ship Monday–Friday, except federal holidays and Christmas break (Christmas to New Years' Day). Our small team works hard to get you your order as fast as possible!

Please note: during Christmas and graduation seasons, our processing time may be up to 4 (four) business days.

Please note that the number of days noted on the USPS Priority shipping method at checkout indicates the carrier's estimated transit time in business days. This does not include order processing time, which can take 2–3 business days after the order is placed.

If you need your order by a certain day, you can calculate the estimated shipping time to your destination here for USPS Priority Mail or here for UPS Ground. The "Ship From" ZIP code is 98108. Please note that these carriers do not guarantee their shipping time estimates. These estimates are calculated in business days, and do not include the day the carrier receives the package.

Please note that due to COVID-19, shipping carriers are experiencing shipping delays. Both USPS and UPS have temporarily added 1–2  business days of delivery time to their normal ETA.

Address Errors

Please double-check your delivery address entry. Incorrect or incomplete delivery addresses can cause delays in your shipment and/or cause the package to be deemed undeliverable. Re-shipping and replacement costs due to incomplete or incorrect addresses are the responsibility of the customer.

My package got returned to you. What are my options?

If your package got returned to us, please email us at info@eighthgeneration.com right away! We can assist with package returns for up to 30 days. 

If we can confirm your order was returned to our warehouse, we can offer one of three options:

  1. Reship your order. Please note that this will incur additional shipping costs to cover both the return delivery to our warehouse (if charged by the carrier) and the total cost of reshipment to you. 
  2. Refund in the form of a gift card (same order value, minus the amount originally paid for shipping). If the carrier attempted to contact you before returning the package to us, but was unable to reach you, the shipping costs of returning the order to us may be deducted from your refund.
  3. Refund in the form of original payment (same order value, minus the amount originally paid for shipping). If the carrier attempted to contact you before returning the package to us, but was unable to reach you, the shipping costs of returning the order to us may be deducted from your refund. 

 

RETURN POLICIES

Return Requests

If you believe there is a problem with your Eighth Generation order, please email info@eighthgeneration.com within 2 (two) business days after the order has been placed and we will respond promptly. We can only assist with order issues before your order has shipped. After your order has shipped, we will follow the return guidelines below. 

All returns or missing package requests must be submitted in writing within 60 (sixty) days from the date of purchase. We will work with you at that time to have you ship the item(s) back to our warehouse. 

  • You will need to include original packaging with your return or exchange. 
  • Items must be returned in unused and resalable condition for a full refund (potentially minus shipping costs). This includes that the item be free of hair/pet fur, odors (such as smoke/perfume), makeup or other stains, etc.

Refunds will be issued after a satisfactory inspection of the item(s) has been performed by our staff. At that time, we will let you know if this item qualifies for a full refund, can be refunded minus a $7.00 (seven dollars) flat rate shipping fee for US shipping. Please include original packaging with your return or exchange. We may pay for return shipment costs on a case-by-case basis, such as for items returned due to a manufacturing defect. 

Exchange Requests

Because we are a small business, we are unable to process exchanges at this time. Customers who wish to exchange an item will have to return the unwanted item and purchase the desired product. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience with our dedicated (but small!) team!  

Return a Gift

Did you receive an Eighth Generation order as a gift and would like to return it? The gift recipient (not the purchaser) has 30 (thirty) days from the date of mail carrier delivery to submit in writing a return request via email to info@eighthgeneration.com. You will receive a gift card for the amount of the item's lowest sale price within the last 30 (thirty) days.
