There’s no better way to get on Santa’s nice list than being good to our Mother Earth, and our Upcycled Wool Stockings are a winter-wonderful way to be sustainable this holiday season! We’ve turned some of our “seconds” quality Signature Series Wool Blankets into these gorgeous and one-of-a-kind wool stockings, ready to be hung by the chimney with care.
Each stocking is made from the undamaged portion of a slightly flawed “seconds quality” Eighth Generation wool blanket, meaning your beautiful stocking is made from a wool textile that would otherwise have ended up in a landfill. Our talented team snips, sews, and adds a leather hanging strap right here in Santa’s Workshop…we mean, our Seattle studio. You end up with a unique wool stocking that not only looks good, but does good, too.
Four different blanket designs have been used in our Upcycled Wool Stockings available for purchase online: Blanket of Knowledge by Richard Dalton III (Tlingit), Coast Salish Pattern Wool Blanket by Louie Gong (Nooksack), Confluence by David Robert Boxley (Tsimshian), and Connections by McKenna Sweet Dorman (Snoqualmie) and Jaime Martin (Snoqualmie). Four more designs are available at our flagship store in downtown Seattle in very limited quantities. We chose the most visually appealing undamaged portions of each wool blanket, making every single stocking unique. No two are alike, and the photos of each stocking are only an example of what you may get. The stocking you receive may have any portion—front or back—of the blanket style you selected.
