In a stunning shift of blue and white mother-of-pearl inlay, Piikani/Blackfeet artist and Inspired Natives® Collaborator John Isaiah Pepion has brought his powerful Mountain Dreams design to our beautiful new colorway of his Mountain Dreams Earrings. "Our power comes from the mountains," shares John, and you can bring that power and stability to your day by adding our Mountain Dreams Earrings to your outfit. The classic “stair-step” design of the mountains in these dangle earrings are traditionally found in Blackfoot beadwork and in parfleche containers.
“Mountains are the source of everything: berries and roots, healing medicines, natural earth pigments which we use in our paints, buffalo, deer, and other animals," says John. "Blackfeet People travel to the mountains for vision quests, and as places to go to get answers or to clear your mind.”
Our Mountain Dreams Earrings—Mother of Pearl are gold plated over brass with alternating inlays of blue and white mother-of-pearl (the nacreous interior shell layer of abalone).
