I’m Monica, a Hopi artist based on the Hopi reservation. I draw my inspiration from my own life and spiritual journey. The designs I use are geometric and often abstract in depicting experiences, beliefs, hopes and prayers.

I was raised in the village of Songoopavi and of the Tewa Water Cloud Clan. In addition to drawing, painting, and creating graphic artwork, I am also a seamstress and traditional Hopi basket weaver.
