ta’c leeheyn, inim wenîikt wees teleqa’uunmay kaa soyapotimki Mikailah Thompson. I’m an Afro-Indigenous beadwork artist from the nimîipuu nation. My maternal grandmother, Chloe Halfmoon, taught me how to bead at a young age which ultimately established a deeper connection to culture and community. Since then, I’ve created my own contemporary style drawing from both traditional nimîipuu and African influences.
