Jenabah Yazzie

My name is Jenabah Yazzie, I am Navajo from Teesto, Arizona. I am Todichiinii (Bitter Water) Clan. The designs derive from the teachings of traditional ceremonies and the Native American Church. I was taught that Creator moves through us and shows us these images; we are tools used to convey a message. Mixing my faith with my artwork brings a sense of harmony to myself, giving me a chance to share with relatives. I have no initial plan on what I am creating; I follow what feels right or what is shown to me. Through that, I have been able to share designs in blankets, paintings, and drawings. All in hopes of bringing a good blessing and protection to others.
