Continue ShoppingLooking for holiday fun for the whole family this year? Pike Place Market has a great lineup of holiday events that everyone can enjoy, from music and comedy to shopping with Santa. Here’s a quick look at some of the festive fun happening down at the Market this year.
A Seattle holiday tradition since 1975, An Improvised Christmas Carol is a twist on a Christmas classic features improvisers weaving audience suggestions into Charles Dickens’ beloved tale. Each night is a new version in this choose-your-own adventure take on the story of Ebeneezer Scrooge!
The show will run Thursdays through Sundays each week in December leading up to Christmas.
Another Seattle Christmas tradition is coming home to Pike Place Market this year! Each year, the Great Figgy Pudding Caroling Competition brings together dozens of caroling teams in a sing-off to raise money for the Pike Market Senior Center & Food Bank. In addition to great holiday music, attendees of this year’s event will have the unique opportunity to experience the Market after dark, which includes special holiday shopping, seasonal drinks and treats, and lots of fun! This event is free and open to the public.
Join Sarah Hanchar and Christine Riippi of Unexpected Productions, Seattle’s longest running improv theater, to celebrate everyone’s favorite part of the holiday season: the feel-good made-for-TV movie musical! This holiday treat begins with a festive sing-along and ends with a movie musical based on your suggestions.
“Ok people, tomorrow morning, 10 a.m. Santa’s coming to town!” (Never a better time for an Elf quote, was there!?) Santa is officially taking a break from the North Pole and stopping by Pike Place Market to gather up everyone’s holiday wish lists. Get your FREE photo with Santa, then hit up the Market to cross off your shopping list. Visitors who spend $50 at any Market business will receive a limited-edition wrapping paper roll to take home. (Now only if you could get Santa’s elves to do that wrapping for you…)
After you’re done getting your picture taken with Santa, stop by our flagship store in the Market to celebrate the holidays with Eighth Generation! This in-person event will feature a raffle, holiday treats—and a few sweet deals, too.
We’ll be serving cookies and cocoa from 10 a.m. to noon—but we’ll be serving up great deals all day long! The Eighth Generation elves have hidden QR codes around the store. Find a code and scan it to reveal a 5%, 10% or 15% savings code, which you can give to your sales associate when checking out.*
*Promo excludes Gold Label and Upcycle products. Only one savings code per customer may be applied.
When you make a purchase in-store on the 3rd, you’ll be entered into a raffle to win:
The raffle will be available from 10 a.m. to close. We’ll draw names at the end of the day and notify the winners on Monday.
Happy holidays, and we hope to see you at the Market this December!
