We were honored to receive over 200 submissions from artists across the U.S. and Canada. Participants spanned all regions and art styles - and ranged in age from 8 year old beginning artists to elders with "Master Artist" status! It was no easy task for our staff to narrow down these submissions, but after looking at every single image and reaching every narrative, we are ready to make some moves. Thank you so much to all the artists who submitted!
We're starting out by recognizing Honorable Mentions. These are stand-out submissions that just missed for the Semi-Finals, which we will be announcing the next couple days. In the meantime, check out the beautiful artwork below along with some comments from our staff. We've added a link to their website or social media pages whenever possible.
If you'd like to receive notice of when the semi-finalists and finalists come out, you can sign up to our mailing list here.

"What really stood were the colors and the craftsmanship! I could see a blanket down the line where the stitch color becomes an intricate part of the blanket design." - Louie Gong, Founder & Owner
"I love the pattern on this piece! I liked the incorporation of the music and ledger work." - Lloyd H. Belmont Jr., Studio Assistant
"This piece is stunningly beautiful. I like the water color effect with the blue in the background." - Josh Swift, Studio Manager

I love Kirby Spencer’s patterns, colors and contrast stitching.
I also love Henry Payer’s sensitive arrangements.
Someday I hope to see an East Coast blanket design
These were the semi-finalists?!? I hope you put all of these designs to use in products! Pillow covers? Phone covers? Lightweight wall hangings? Mugs? (That kid!) Posters?
Congratulations to your winners & semi-finalists, and to all who entered! Beautiful works!
If those stunning designs are not included in the finals, I cannot imagine the designs that will be among the ones in the final group ! Can’t wait to see !♡
These are AMAZING! I wouldn’t like to be on the committee to pick these out! Too hard
Beautiful. Thank you for sharing!
Wow. If these are the honorable mentions, I can’t wait to see the Finalists. All the designs are arresting, some stopped me cold, and Zac George’s design is unforgettable.
They are incredibly beautiful!!

Oprah Winfrey stopped by St. Paul, Minnesota, for her “2020 Vision: Your Life In Focus” tour. Winfrey is joining local workout groups at each stop as part of her tour, and her latest stop was with the KwePack, an incredible running group of Native American women based on the Fond du Lac Reservation near Duluth, which was started by Inspired Natives Collaborator Sarah Agaton Howes (Anishinaabe). Watch as Sarah made her wildest dreams come true by wrapping Oprah in an Eighth Generation blanket that she designed!
