Our Gold Label baby blankets are now machine washable! Made with a Merino wool and cotton-blend yarn, these are our softest blankets yet, now featuring the warmth of wool and the convenience of cotton. Our baby blankets are a wonderfully warm way to cuddle with your kiddo, or spread out on the floor make a soft surface for tummy-time.

Made right in our Seattle studio, this 80% organic cotton/20% Merino wool baby blanket features stunning Northwest Coast art designed by David Robert Boxley (Tsimshian). The design represents a child being held and protected by their parents or loved ones who are there to ensure safety and support. Representing a new generation that relies on those who came before, this design emphasizes love and family.

Product Care: 

  • Clean liquid stains immediately with warm water and mild detergent
  • Machine washable with cold water; lay flat to dry (warm/hot water or using a dryer will cause the fibers to contract, resulting in shrinkage)
  • Steam to de-wrinkle if needed
  • Store blanket away from direct sunlight

    about the artist

    David Robert Boxley (Tsimshian) comes from the village of Metlakatla, Alaska, growing up there and in Kingston, Washington. He first began to learn how to carve from his father, renowned Tsimshian artist and culture bearer, David A. Boxley, at the age of six. He has since studied under Master Haida carver, Robert Davidson, and, after moving away for a period of time, has returned to live in his village to help in the efforts to save his people's language. He is now the Co-chair of The Haayk Foundation, which works to preserve and revitalize Tsimshian language, history, and traditions.
