Eighth Generation is excited to welcome a Vanishing Seattle Pop Up to the Gallery space of our Pike Place Market store. #VanishingSeattle is a popular social media project that documents the displaced and disappearing institutions, small businesses, homes, and communities of Seattle – and is also a love letter to the history and cultures that gave our city its soul.
The Vanishing Seattle Pop Up shop will include a mix of products developed in-house by Eighth Generation and also feature the work of local street artists No Touching Ground and @besoseattle – with apparel, jewelry, phone cases and more. The pop up will also offer books by local authors about Seattle’s distinct neighborhoods, communities, and subcultures.
The space will feature a 15' x 5' graphic display of Seattle places loved and lost (excerpt below)…and we welcome you to add your own!
The Vanishing Seattle Pop Up launch date is November 24th and will be open through this holiday season. Limited time only – come see us at Pike Place Market (directions available here). Score some goods to show your Seattle love and join the Vanishing Seattle movement.
Revenues from the shop will support an upcoming Vanishing Seattle documentary film project.
For more information about Vanishing Seattle, visit them on Instagram and Facebook at @vanishingseattle; www.vanishingseattle.org; or email email@example.com
Comments will be approved before showing up.

We know that the support of our community helped get us where we are today. It's with this in mind that - as a small part of our broader giving - we promised to return 5% of profit from our retail blanket sales to the community in the form of "Inspired Natives Grants".

Two years ago when Eighth Generation launched wool blankets, we promised that 5% of our blanket profits would go towards Inspired Natives Grants. In addition the $80k+ we've contributed over the past two years in support of everything from nonprofit organizations to cultural events to family celebrations, we are very proud to fulfill that promise with the launch of our Inspired Natives grant program. We encourage you to review the basic requirements below and share them with the Inspired Natives in your life!
